ISO 9001:2015
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental international organization with an international membership of 163 national standards bodies.
ISO 9001 is the global standard, which companies implement to help ensure the quality of products brought to market.
Google Maps Platform quality management system (QMS) is based on the seven quality management principles listed in the standard:
-
Customer focus
-
Leadership
-
Engagement of people
-
Process approach
-
Improvement
-
Evidence-based decision making
-
Relationship management
The QMS supporting Google Maps Platform has received an accredited ISO 9001 certification after undergoing an audit by an independent third party. This certification demonstrates Google Maps Platform’s commitment to delivering high quality products and meeting the needs of customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Within the scope of Google Maps Platform's ISO 9001 certification, Quality is defined as adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes across the entire product lifecycle—from concept and design through launch, maintenance, and support. This definition expressly excludes the quality of data derived from Google Maps Platform services.
Potential customers can reach out to sales to review the certification. Existing customers can access certification through the Compliance Reports Manager.
